It’s possible to avoid gaps between deck boards and enjoy a fastener-free surface with the Marksman Edge Tool from CAMO. It’s innovative design is perfect for installing pressure treated deck boards directly next to each other, rather than with the typical 3/16″ or even 1/4″ space between boards. The tool works with any standard drill to secure CAMO fasteners diagonally through the deck board and into the joist. Pre-drilling is not necessary, just load the screw into the screw guide and run your drill at full speed to drive the screw head past the surface of the deck board. If desired, secondary spacers may be used to create a gap between deck boards.
